2025年9月に竣工した飯野海運の大型液化エタン船（VLEC）「IINO INEOS VESTÁ」はエタンを主燃料とする二元燃料主機を搭載しており、従来の重油専焼船と比べてCO₂排出量を大幅に削減することが可能です。
当社は中期経営計画「The Adventure to Our Sustainable Future」において、2050年までのカーボンニュートラル達成の目標を掲げており、その一環として次世代燃料への投資を積極的に進めています。これまで当社は、メタノールやLPGを燃料とする二元燃料船に加え、将来的にアンモニア燃料への切り替えに対応可能なアンモニアレディ船を導入しており、本船は当社にとって初のエタン二元燃料船として運航船隊に加わりました。当社は環境性能に優れた船舶の導入を通じて、持続可能な社会の実現に貢献していきます。
IINO Lines' Very Large Ethane Carrier "IINO INEOS VESTÁ" was delivered on September 2025. Equipped with a dual-fuel main engine, the vessel has a significantly lower CO₂ emissions footprint than conventional heavy fuel oil-powered vessels.
In IINO Lines' mid-term management plan, "The Adventure to Our Sustainable Future," we have set a goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In line with this vision, we are actively investing in alternative fuels. To date, we have introduced dual-fuel vessels powered by methanol and LPG, as well as ammonia-ready vessels that can switch to ammonia fuel in the future. The Vessel marks our first dual-fuel ethane carrier to join our operating fleet.
IINO Lines will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the continued introduction of environmentally advanced vessels.
