Tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) is a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) protein family and one of the molecular “control switches” inside immune cells that regulate inflammatory pathways. TYK2 is primarily involved in immune and inflammatory signaling, whereas the other JAKs regulate broader biological processes.
By deepening our understanding of the TYK2 pathway, we hope to better address the unmet needs of people living with inflammatory diseases.
